About Yorkshire Dental Suite Liverpool
We have refurbished an existing dental clinic and transformed the space into a tranquil, spa-like practice. The interior features a luxurious waiting room and reception, alongside a number of surgery rooms filled with state-of-the-art technology. It has been meticulously designed to make even our most nervous patients feel at home. The clinic is home to an expert team of nurses, dentists, implant surgeons, hygienists and cosmetic specialists that are dedicated to turning your dream smile into a reality.
What are dental implants?
Dental implants are the perfect solution for individuals with broken, worn and missing teeth. The irreversible procedure involves surgically inserting a grade 5 titanium implant into the jawbone and fitting a perfect porcelain crown on top. If your mouth is in a healthy condition, and you are over the age of 21, you can generally get dental implants at any stage in your life. It is often used as a last resort however as the tooth needs to be removed.
Dental implant procedure
The appointment starts with sedation, helping you to feel as comfortable as possible throughout the procedure. Teeth are removed (if required) and an incision is made in your gum. Next, a grade 5 titanium implant is screwed into your jawbone, before an abutment is fitted on top. Your temporary teeth are then fitted, signalling the end of your first appointment. It is then time to go home and heal. Your gum typically needs 3-4 months to recover from the surgery before your final teeth are fitted. Once your gums have healed, you will return to the clinic and have your permanent smile fitted.

Am I eligible for dental implants?
During your initial consultation with YDS, our expert team will check the condition of your oral health and confirm that you are indeed eligible for dental implants. Generally, as long as your mouth is in a healthy condition, and you have good bone density, you will most likely be eligible. However, there are many factors that can impact the viability of the procedure, the most common being issues with finance. Those with diabetes, certain heart conditions, bone disorders and autoimmune disorders may be illegible, alongside patients who are currently undergoing radiotherapy or take recreational drugs. It is essential that you are completely honest during your consultation to ensure your safety and the success of the treatment.
