What is teeth bonding & how does it work?

Cosmetic teeth bonding is the fastest way to achieve a perfect straight white smile. Using a chip-resistant resin, the treatment disguises the appearance of chips, cracks, discolouration and small gaps. The procedure itself is very simple, and takes less than four hours to complete. Here’s what a typical appointment looks like:

  1. The tooth is thoroughly washed.
  2. Nanofill™, our exclusive resin, is hand applied to the tooth in thin layers.
  3. A UV light is shone onto the tooth, curing the resin in place.
  4. The resin is then polished and shaped to the desired aesthetic.
  5. The appointment finishes with a bite test and final checks.

You are then able to leave your local Yorkshire Dental Suite clinic with a beautiful smile that lasts up to eight years!

Am I eligible for bonded teeth?

Most patients are generally suitable for composite teeth bonding. As a general rule, your gums and teeth should be in a healthy condition - this means no gum disease is present. Patients must also be at least 18 years old. If you have extreme crowding, crookedness or gaps, consider orthodontic treatment first. This is because the resin can look bulky on misaligned smiles. Finally, if a tooth is damaged, we require that at least ¾ of the tooth is still there.

How much is teeth bonding (UK)?

The price of composite bonding is £495 per tooth. The average Yorkshire Dental Suite patient opts to have bonding on their top six teeth, bringing the total to £2,970. You are additionally required to attend a £95 consultation prior to the procedure. If you wish to spread the cost of your teeth bonding over time, enquire about your finance options. In some cases, additional dental treatments are required to make the procedure a success, including:
