Laminate veneers use custom made porcelain shells that sit over the front of each tooth. Treatment takes around 4 weeks to complete with temporary veneers in place while the custom replacements are being made.. Composite veneers use dental resin applied directly to the tooths surface. This is shaped and polished in a single procedure.

• IPR (Interproximal Reduction) required in some cases. This permanently shaves down protruding edges to achieve the desired outcome.

Dental veneers last up to 15 years with care.

To maximise the longevity of your veneers it is important that you:

• Avoid biting into hard, crunchy and sticky foods as these can loosen your veneers
• Brush twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste and soft bristled toothbrush
• Use a water flosser to clean between your teeth and around the gumline of each tooth - avoid using string, picks or interdental brushes which can pull your veneers off
• Avoid foods that can stain or discolour your teeth. These include tomato sauces, chocolate, berries and artificially coloured foods
• Avoid drinks that can stain or discolour your teeth including tea, coffee, red wine and berry based juices
• If eating or drinking the above rinse with water throughout your activity to minimise staining
• Report any issues immediately to your dentist
• Attend regular hygiene and check-up appointments

Yes. Full mouth treatments cost from £15,000. This includes veneers across 20 teeth, typically 10 at the top and 10 at the bottom. Additional teeth available at an additional cost.

Porcelain veneers are available for all adults over 18 years of age.

You should have good oral health with no signs of gum disease, gingivitis or cavities. These can be fixed at an additional cost, potentially adding to your treatment timescales.

Veneers can not be applied across gaps. These require bridges or dental implants at an additional cost.

If you have moderate to severe crowding or malocclusions then you might not be eligible for treatment. This can be rectified using braces or clear aligners before veneers can be added. This can significantly increase treatment cost and timescales.

In some cases the dentist will suggest IPR, a process where protruding edges are permanently removed from your teeth.

If pain is a concern discuss sedation during the consultations leading up to your procedure. This can increase costs.

3. IPR (if required), shapes selected teeth, removing unwanted edges
4. Teeth are washed in a solution designed to remove debris and prepares them for the bonding agent
5. Temporary veneers are created for each tooth at the clinic
6. Bonding agent is applied to each tooth
7. Veneers are applied to each tooth

You return home while your new permanent veneers are created in the Yorkshire Dental Suite lab. Once ready, you return to the Yorkshire Dental Suite Birmingham.
