Denture implants are a long-term tooth replacement. Also known as implant-retained dentures, snap-in dentures or clip-on dentures, this treatment includes inserting threaded posts into the jawbone, which are used to hold an acrylic denture in place.
The hybrid treatment delivers the robust bite associated with standard implants with the convenience of a removable prosthetic. Attaching to your implant posts with a press, stud-like clip, your denture is easy to remove and re-insert as required.
Am I eligible for denture implants?
The key to a successful treatment? Healthy gums
In order for your mouth to successfully heal after denture implant surgery, it is essential that you have healthy gums. If you have gum disease, this will need to be treated prior to your appointment. We also ask that the following criteria applies:
- You have had a clean dental check-up in the past 3 - 6 months
- You have no bone loss (bone grafts, zygomatic implants or pterygoid implants available)
- You are over the age of 21 (exceptions made in special circumstances)
- You have stopped smoking

Treatment day
Remaining teeth are removed, and your dental implants are surgically inserted. A temporary denture follows, giving you a brand-new smile the very same day.
Recovery
Your mouth now needs time to heal. The recovery period is typically 3 - 4 months, during in which the Yorkshire Dental Suite team builds your final smile in our state-of-the-art lab.
