Porcelain veneers and Nanofill Composite Bonding® differ in a number of ways. Porcelain veneers offer a more long-term fix to patients, boasting a lifespan of 15+ years, while composite veneers (another name for Nanofill Composite Bonding®) last up to 8 years before needing to be replaced.
The price of each treatment varies significantly, with porcelain veneers costing £895 per tooth. Comparatively, Nanofill™ is £495 per tooth. This difference is due to a number of reasons - veneers last longer, fix more severe dental issues and have a longer process. Porcelain veneers also modify the tooth slightly, whereas Nanofill Composite Bonding®) does not.

Smile design consultation
Your journey begins with a consultation at Yorkshire Dental Suite Wakefield. You will first have an oral health check, before your dentist takes 3D scans of your teeth and maps your facial proportions. This information is then used to build your ideal smile.
Trial your smile
Wear a temporary version of your new smile, designed for real-life testing. It’s your chance to tweak shape, tone and proportions before the final fit. On average, our patients wear their temporary veneers for around four weeks.
Wear it with pride
Once your final smile has been created in our in-house laboratory, it is time to return to Yorkshire Dental Suite to have your custom-made veneers bonded in place. All that's left to do now? Show off your dazzling new teeth with pride.

Any shaping is carefully planned and kept to a minimum. So, while slight modification of the enamel is required for porcelain veneers, we will preserve as much of your natural tooth structure as possible.
Veneers are thin covers for the front surface of the tooth. On the other hand, crowns replace the visible portion of the tooth. Typically, crowns are used for more extreme damage and repair work that a veneer alone cannot fix.
Your dentist will identify how many porcelain veneers you require. Some patients choose to have their top six or eight teeth transformed, the ones that are visible when your smile, while others opt for a full mouth of veneers for a Hollywood finish.
If you take care of your smile, porcelain veneers can last 15 years (or even longer). They are a solid investment, lasting much longer than composite equivalents. With our porcelain veneers, you are paying for the highest quality product, treatment, and surface.
Most patients are eligible for porcelain veneers. However, we do ask that the following criteria applies:
- You have good oral health
- You have no gum disease present (hygienist appointments available)
- You have no cavities (fillings available)
If you have a severe underbite, overbite, open bite, crossbite or crowding, you may need a teeth straightening treatment prior to porcelain veneers.
