• Brush twice a day using a fluoride toothpaste and soft bristled brush. Please note, whitening toothpaste does not have any effect on bonded teeth.
• Use floss or an interdental brush to clean between teeth down to the gum line to remove plaque.
• Drink water during and after meals to maintain your PH levels.
• Avoid foods and drinks that stain teeth. These include tomato based sauces, red wine and coffee.
• Stop smoking or vaping as this discolours your teeth.
• Visit a dental hygienist twice a year.

Composite bonding does not work with Invisalign and other clear aligner treatments. The resin is cured to make a hardwearing and durable surface but can not be adjusted using aligners or retainers.

Composite bonding can chip and crack if you bite into something hard. Because bonding is made from resin and is fully reversable, chips and cracks can be repaired by your dentist.
