Alex De Carvalho MScHR Director

Alex is Yorkshire Dental Suite's Group HR Director. He has a diverse background in both dentistry and human resources, with a strong focus on employee relations, business development and management. His extensive experience spans both the public and private sectors, particularly in Engineering and Dentistry. He holds several qualifications, including a Diploma in Project Management, a Diploma in Dental Nursing (NEBDN), a Degree in Human Resources Management and a Masters (MSc) in Strategic Human Resource Management from the University of Central Lancashire. Additionally, he is a Chartered Fellow (FCIPD) of the Chartered Institute.

Alex is actively involved in people management seminars and employment law cases, where he promotes collaboration and implements changes to achieve workforce excellence. As part of the senior leadership team, he naturally excels in managing and improving HR management and operations across the group. His focus areas include coaching in transformational leadership, implementing strategic people management, performance appraisals, promoting engagement, staff wellness and ensuring compliance within employment law. He leads the HR department with his team, striving to create a positive and productive work environment, to become a centre of excellence.

Outside of his professional life, Alex enjoys travelling, has a keen interest in employment law, personal growth and helping people around him succeed through mentorship. He is uber dedicated and committed to improving the services offered at Yorkshire Dental Suite and YDS Group.
